Grilled Cheese to Make Your Mouth Melt

Crucial cheese news from the Mission: Second Location of the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen.
As reported back in May, Heidi Gibson and Nate Pollak took over the former Cafe Gratitude on the corner of 20th and Harrison — right across the street from Flour + Water — to open the sequel to their South Park smash hit.
The kitchen is ready to roll, but the tables haven’t arrived yet. The official opening is currently slated for sometime next week, at which point they’ll settle into the normal hours. To start, those hours will be 8 a.m.-6 p.m., serving breakfast and lunch. Dinner hours will commence in February or March, and will run until 9 p.m. or 10 p.m.; do note that they will not be open this weekend.
The opening menu is mostly the same as the South Park original, but there are a few new grilled cheese specials on the board. Also new are shoe-string fries and a biscuits and a fried egg plate, plus an improved beverage menu that includes espresso drinks, six beers and four wines on tap.
